The 100 Black Men of Greater Cleveland Inc. is comprised of successful and committed African Americans in the area coming together to make a difference in the lives of our youths. For consideration, all new member applications must be completed and sponsored by a current member in good standing.
Our success has been the direct result of the committed men, volunteers, and corporate partners who have invested their time and resources to impact young black males and their families as well as the local community. We seek members who are interested in making a difference in our community and are willing to contribute their time and talents to the organization.

Why join the 100 BMOGC?
Join the 100 to become a change agent in the community. We work to empower youth through our four pillars: Health & Wellness, Mentoring, Education, and Economic Development. Mentoring is the core service delivery for the 100. We are the largest network of African American male mentors in the nation. We work hard to influence and transform lives in our communities.
Candidates:
The ideal candidate is demonstrably community-driven with a history of service and volunteerism. We look for active candidates in their community and are committed to continuing their efforts alongside the 100. We don’t want candidates solely interested in the social aspect of being 100 members; we want workers. Our motto is “what they see is what they’ll be.” Our goal is to present our community with hard-working, successful Black males so they are inclined to emulate us.
Be a part of an organization that is seriously committed to elevating our communities by improving the economic status and providing programs that enhance and enrich lives through Mentoring, Education, Economic Development, and Health and Wellness.
The 100 Black Men of Cleveland is a catalyst for resolving issues of critical importance to the American people, focusing on issues affecting communities of color. We have an increasing level of commitment to impact the next generation.
The process:
First, you must show up to our events and support our efforts. Attending our programs is a prerequisite for membership consideration. Next, you find a sponsor who will recommend you to the organization. A sponsor is a 100-member who is in good standing with the organization. Finally, you complete an interest form and submit a payment of $50 that covers your background check. If selected, you will be called for an interview. After the consultation and application are presented to the executive board, you will be given to the general body for a final vote. (Read more in the next section below)
