Chairman’s Message
MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Chairman’s Message
Welcome to the 100 Black Men of Greater Cleveland, Inc. (100 BMOGC) website. Thank you for visiting. I am honored to serve as Chairman of the 100 Black Men of Greater Cleveland, Inc.
Our Chapter is a talented group of men in business, industry, public affairs, government, and the professions who share a common goal of improving the quality of life for African-American young men through mentoring.
During my time with the 100, I am honored to serve with a beautiful group of individuals, but I have developed friendships that will last a lifetime. With a mission to improve the quality of life of our citizens and enhance educational opportunities for African- Americans, our members continue to serve as a potent force for overcoming cultural and financial obstacles, the achievements of African-American youth, emphasizing young African-American males.
As a part of the 100 Black Men of America’s “Four For The Future Initiative” Economic Development, Education, Health & Wellness, and Mentoring, our Chapter is engaged in a targeted effort to provide holistic support for the youth we serve. To that end, we have developed several programs to address these concerns.
This past year we had great success with a chapter mentoring program titled Walk A Mile With A Child, founded with help from a founding member Chief Magistrate Gregory Clifford. “What they see is what they’ll be” is the tagline for the 100 Black Men of America and all of its Chapter Affiliates.
The members of the 100 have been committed to improving the quality of life for the community we serve by advocating for change and creating opportunities for our youth. We are concerned professional men who live by the adopted creed “Real Men, Giving Real Time,” which we believe assists in developing our future leaders with guidance, support, nurturing, and encouragement.
As mentors, we volunteer to stand as trusted advisers and role models of success for our mentees as we promote educational excellence, personal responsibility, respect, and self-discipline. Your generous financial support will help provide the necessary resources to increase awareness of our local Chapter’s mission and goals to provide college scholarships and mentoring programs for our youth. You are invited to become a mentor to change a life and save a life.
This is a challenging time, but an exciting time as we continue to “Ignite” 100 Black Men of Greater Cleveland, Inc. as we move forward with increasing our Chapter’s capacity to deliver impactful programs to our community and youth. We steadfastly believe in and value services that personify our national motto, “What They See is What They’ll Be.” We are “Real Men, giving Real-Time.” I hope that as you read about the work of the 100, you will be inspired to join us as a member, volunteer, or donor. We welcome collaborations with other organizations to provide resources to our communities and positively impact future generations.
Lastly, on behalf of the fine Officers and Board of Directors of the Cleveland Chapter of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc., I would like to extend a special thank you to all of the 100 members and volunteers for their humble and tireless commitment to strengthening our organization while making our community a better place to live and work.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as your Chairman of the Board for the 100 Black Men of Greater Cleveland, Inc. I look forward to future events and programs as we prepare to expand our Mentoring pool in the Cleveland Chapter and commit ourselves to personifying the type of people our children will look up to and emulate. Again, we thank you for visiting the 100 Black Men of Greater Cleveland, Inc. website. We thank you for your support as we strive to inspire and positively impact the lives of the youth in our communities.
Sincerely yours,
Lee V. Fields
